WavePass500 is designed as a biometric authentication terminal rather than a financial POS terminal. When the device is used only for palm vein authentication, identity verification, cashier authentication, membership verification, or payment authorization workflows -- and does not process bank card information or connect directly to banking payment interfaces -- the device itself typically does not require EMV or PCI certification.

This allows solution providers to integrate palm vein authentication into existing payment ecosystems without the complexity, cost, and certification cycle associated with financial payment terminals.

Is WavePass500 a payment terminal?
WavePass500 is a palm recognition terminal that integrates with existing cashier and payment platforms through SDK/API development. It is not an EMV/PCI-certified financial POS terminal. It handles biometric authentication rather than direct payment processing.
Does WavePass500 require EMV or PCI certification?
Not necessarily. If WavePass500 does not process bank card information, does not store payment credentials, and does not directly connect to banking payment networks, the device itself typically does not require EMV or PCI certification. For projects requiring direct card payment acceptance, X-Telcom recommends using AirOne.
Can WavePass500 be deployed on our own server?
Yes. WavePass500 supports customer-controlled own-server deployment. Your biometric data and system infrastructure remain entirely under your control. X-Telcom does not require cloud connectivity or access to your deployment environment.
Who owns the biometric data?
The customer owns and controls both the system and biometric data. X-Telcom does not store, manage, or have access to customer biometric data. All data is encrypted with AES-256 and stored exclusively on the customer's own server infrastructure.
Can WavePass500 support millions of users?
Yes. The Large Model algorithm package supports deployments from 100,000 users to millions of users. The system has been tested in private databases of up to 5 million users with a recognition success rate of up to 99%.
Does X-Telcom provide SDK and technical support?
